A Train Tour Through Northern India, Part VII – Jaisalmer, The Desert City

After railing westward through the Northern states of India, we finally arrived at Jaisalmer, a desert city situated only about 40 miles from the Pakistan border.

By this point, we had enjoyed a lot of Indian food, some hot weather and some interesting places. However, for Jaisalmer, we were mostly interested in the Sam Sand Dunes, just about 30 minutes’ drive outside of town.

Wai-O-Tapu – Geothermal Wonderland

While traveling in New Zealand, we definitely wanted to take a stop in Rotorua, New Zealand’s hotspot for geothermal activity.
